Unwillingness To Accept Incompetence
Incompetence in America is at an all-time high. They promote the hell out of a pill for impotence but have no medicine available for incompetence. Everyone in this world is so consumed with their stupid phone, youtube videos and facebook that they kill themselves and others in car wrecks. Listen, it doesn’t happen SOMETIMES. You see it at every damn stoplight you pull up to. They can’t drive to work and miss 5 minutes of that crap? There’s a real world going on out here. My own son was taken to his orthodontist 4 times, then I was out of town one day so he caught another ride to the orthodontist. He had no freakin’ idea where it was and told me that when he’s in the car he never looks out the window. He’s just on his phone. That was the end of that. Phones go in the trunk now. I’ll be damned if anyone with my pedigree wakes up one day oblivious to life, no idea what’s going on, dead broke and living in a virtual world.
With our racehorses, the blacksmith that puts the shoes on had no idea that you should place the nails in a very specific place due to a previous injury the horse had. I had to spend an hour researching and getting knowledge for him to teach him how to do his own damn job that I pay him $6,500 per month to do. This happened on Jan 29th. After printing off the 5 page report that would educate him, he asked if there’s a youtube video available so he doesn’t have to read all of that. Actually, he didn’t get to finish that sentence as he was fired immediately after I heard “so I don’t have to read”. I strategically interrupted him and kicked his incompetence to the curb. Go learn how to do your job before you take people’s money.
The same is true for real estate agents. Look how many ignorant agents are woefully unqualified to give a solid listing presentation, build true value for the seller, demonstrate their marketing savvy and negotiate a fair commission and REAL price on the house. No, instead of learning how to do it correctly from professionals, they choose to go out and lose $10,000 to $15,000 at each appointment over and over to the tune of over $100,000 per year. That’s an expensive lesson from the University of Hard Knocks and Dumbassedness. But “oh my God, coaching is expensive and I don’t have money”. Yeah dumbass, you are incompetent. Go out there and lose $30,000 per month in income. Great financial decision.
If you’d like to get a taste of this for yourself, just do a real estate transaction with ANY other agent in your marketplace. I think you’ll agree, incompetence is at an all-time high. I’ve actually had to call their broker to get something done in the past. Never did I think in such a high level business I’d have to call someone’s daddy to tell on them for being bad little boys and girls and not doing their work. I’m convinced that this young generation will get older to become 40 and 50 year old teenagers. Someone do something. Please…
