Let’s get something straight: if you’re using social media like a ghost, if your posts feel more like wallpaper than a magnet, and if your “marketing” is getting likes from your mom and your dog’s Instagram account, you’re not a secret weapon—you’re a secret agent. And not in a good way. Because here’s the truth: in 2025, if you’re invisible online, you’re invisible in real life. And if your posts don’t stop the scroll, you’re leaving deals on the table every single day.
The problem is, most agents were never taught how to post with purpose. They’ve been told to be consistent, to “put themselves out there,” and to show up on social—but nobody showed them how to create content that attracts clients instead of blending into the noise.
So they fall back on the basics: “Just Listed” photos, “Just Sold” posts with a quick line of text, maybe a quote graphic or a few emojis. And then… nothing. Crickets. They feel like they’re doing the work, but nothing’s landing. No leads. No messages. No appointments. And certainly no closings.
Let’s fix that. Right here. Right now. I’m going to give you a five-minute social media makeover that can shift the way people see you—and start pulling in the attention, authority, and opportunities you’re missing. This doesn’t take a design degree or hours of your day. It just takes a little strategy and a lot less fear.
Start with your last few posts. Open your page and really look at them through your audience’s eyes. Ask yourself: Would I stop scrolling for this? If your posts look like everyone else’s, they’ll get treated like everyone else’s—ignored. You need a headline or a photo that jumps off the screen. Use something bold, unexpected, or specific. Instead of “Beautiful 3-Bedroom in Quiet Neighborhood,” try “This Backyard Sells Itself—And It’s Not Even the Best Part.”
Next, ask: Is there a story, or just a statement? Most agents throw out facts, but facts don’t sell—storiesdo. Don’t just say a home is “under contract.” Tell the story of the family who walked in, fell in love, and knew it was home. Talk about the seller who needed to move quickly for a job across the country—and how you made it happen in 48 hours. People don’t connect with transactions; they connect with meaning.
Now look at your images. Are there people in them—or just houses? People stop for people. Put yourself in the frame. Add a client. Add a happy family. Add emotion. A smiling buyer holding keys triggers way more interest than an empty living room. And while we’re at it—did your last few posts actually invite people to engage? Or were they just announcements?
Every post should make an offer: a DM, a download, a “comment below.” Don’t just say you sold something. Say, “Want to know what this one sold for?” or “Want a list of similar homes before they hit the market?”
Finally, are you posting consistently—or randomly disappearing? You don’t need to post every day, but you do need to show up enough that people remember who you are and what you do. When someone lands on your page, it should be crystal clear: you’re in real estate, you’re active, and you’re worth following.
The good news? You don’t have to figure all this out on your own. I break this stuff down every single week on my YouTube channel. Real examples. Real strategies. Real agent content that actually brings in leads, listings, and closings. Not theory. Not fluff. Just marketing that works in the real world—right now.
